Kim Parker's mom is hip, young and has attitude, just like Kim. Kim's mom is going to college -- just like Kim -- but when she ends up on the same campus, it's Kim's plight, especially when her mom's hilarious "fish out of water" antics compete with her own, in "The Parkers," the new half-hour comedy spin off of UPN's highly rated sitcom "Moesha."

Kim Parker, who viewers know as Moesha's notorious, boy-crazed best friend, has made her grand entrance to the world of higher education at Santa Monica Junior College, but she's burdened with the ultimate teenage mortification when her equally audacious mom, Nikki Parker, decides it's a good time for her, too, to pursue a higher education, an opportunity she sacrificed 18 years ago when her daughter was born.
