MARKS APPOINTED TO ADVISORY BOARD OF BREAKTV.COM SHERMAN OAKS, CA – June 06, 2000 -- Brad Marks, a leading figure in the entertainment executive search industry, has joined the advisory board of BreakTV.com, an online video streaming entertainment magazine featuring behind-the-scenes interviews and highlights of the most popular and high-profile programs on television. “We are proud to have Brad on our advisory board,” said Joe Nassour, chief executive officer of BreakTV.com. “He brings a deep understanding of the entertainment and new media industries and his consulting expertise will prove to be invaluable as we continue to expand.” Marks is chairman and chief executive officer of Brad Marks International (BMI), the preeminent executive search firm in the world exclusively servicing the entertainment and new media sectors. Formally entering the recruiting industry in 1982, he is widely considered to be the pioneer of the executive search specialty within the entertainment arena. BMI’s client companies represent virtually every sector and function of entertainment, including broadcasting, multimedia, telecommunications and media-related businesses. Prior to entering the executive search business, Marks served as president and chief executive officer of his own production company, Brad Marks Productions, Inc., where he developed and produced original and advertiser supported programming for the networks and first-run syndication. Programs developed and produced by Marks include CBS’ annual high-profile event “The National Collegiate Cheerleading Championships” and “When the West Was Fun: A Western Reunion,” the ABC special event that was the highest rated special for the network in 1979. As an outgrowth of the popularity and success on “The National Collegiate Cheerleading Championships,” Mr. Marks was commissioned by Los Angeles Laker owner Jerry Buss to create the world famous “Laker Girls” to entertain fans during home games at the Forum. “The future of broadband streaming on the Internet is here,” added Marks, “and BreakTV.com has established itself as a leader in the delivery of branded broadband entertainment. Their talents are perfectly suited for the impending convergence of television and the World Wide Web, and I very much look forward to working with this exciting company.” Since its official launch in January earlier this year, BreakTV.com has enjoyed significant growth. Currently, the site, which promotes programming from four of the major networks, as well as cable and syndicated content, generates more than three million page views per month. Last month Microsoft Corp. announced that BreakTV.com had joined the Windows Media(TM) Broadband Jumpstart initiative. The Jumpstart initiative is an end-to-end, industry wide effort to accelerate the consumer adoption of broadband technology, increase the availability of broadband content and improve broadband business models.
