A Company Profile
BreakTV.com, the Internet television network, is
revolutionizing entertainment and communications. Launched July 14, BreakTV brings
to the Internet full-screen, TV-quality programming on demand.
The 24-hour BreakTV network has already formed alliances with prominent Hollywood
producers. It currently runs five- to eight-minute segments of such popular
programs as The Monkees, and clips of standup comedians to promote appearances at the
famed comedy club The Improv.
BreakTV will soon expand to include full programming, including more comedy, drama,
sci-fi shows and children's fare, many of which are available on home video and DVD.
Additionally, BreakTV will feature trailers of upcoming movies and infotainment
services, telling viewers about new TV shows, and CD releases, and more.
"BreakTV's programming strategy is based on the media revolution brought on by
radio and television many years ago," comments Joe Nassour, Chief Executive Officer
for the company. "Early programs were less than 30 minutes and often as short as five
minutes. As the population grew, technology became widespread and users became familiar
with the medium, the result was that producers lengthened their programs."
"On the Internet," adds Tony Nassour, Creator of BreakTV.com /Executive VP
of Creative affairs, "the typical person is limited. They have a computer on a desk
at home or access the Internet from their offices. We are initially providing short
segments of already familiar programming that can be easily accessed during a break. As
this new content delivery becomes familiar and popularized, BreakTV will begin to
evolve its programming to match viewers' habits, including lengthier programs, original
shows and educational content. However, more than just evolving into a straight TV
broadcast simulation, BreakTV will include many innovative and well-researched
conduits of programming firsts."
Said Chuck Pennock, Executive VP of Marketing, "BreakTV also brings something
new and exciting to the Internet advertiser - traditionally styled television commercials.
Full-screen video and quality sound delivers the full message. Commercials already
developed for television broadcast may also be utilized on the Internet BreakTV.
They will help offset the cost of broadband video streaming,"
The company will enhance the rewards of advertising on its service with a new technology
that enables precise profile targeting of potential consumers. Utilizing information
provided by users themselves, this innovative, new feature will provide advertisers with a
more sophisticated and complete method of measuring and targeting audience than is
presently available to traditional broadcast outlets. Additionally, advertisers pay only
for the penetration they actually, verifiably receive. There will be no vague estimates.
Advertisers will know if 17 or 1,105,341 people viewed their commercial and will be billed
accordingly.
Four 15-second commercials will be played during each program. In addition, there will be
up to eight Internet ad banners per show.
BreakTV is currently developing software that will recognize viewers when they sign
on and - in timed advertising slots - play commercials for products that fit their
individual demographic profile, a service that will revolutionize the advertising world as
never before.
BreakTV utilizes a new Internet video technology, which provides high-quality
playback and video streaming over fast Internet connections to viewers utilizing such
popular on-line players as Windows Media Player and Real Video Player, among others.
Unlike previous on-line video technology, this new technology allows viewers to see
programming at full screen (with fast connections). Playback is clear and free of choppy,
jerky frames.
Based in Los Angeles, California, BreakTV.com is revolutionizing entertainment and

programming on demand. The 24-hour network, which has already formed alliances with
prominent Hollywood producers, is developing a full programming slate of comedies, drama,
sci-fi shows and children's fare, many of which are available on videotape or DVD.
Additionally, BreakTV will feature trailers of upcoming movies and infotainment
services about new TV shows, CD releases and more.
