Danny Thomas
Though best known for his portrayal of Danny
Williams on “Make Room For Daddy,” Danny Thomas was also active behind
the camera. He partnered with
Sheldon Leonard and Aaron Spelling to create shows such as “The Dick Van
Dyke Show,” “The Andy Griffith Show,” and “The Mod Squad.”
In fact, Sheriff Andy Taylor from “The Andy Griffith Show”
premiered on an episode of Make Room for Daddy.
He arrested Danny Williams. Danny
Thomas also founded the St. Jude’s Children Research Hospital in Memphis
in 1962.
