In The Beginning

God and the Devil make a bet to select an average Joe to prove the worthiness of mankind -- thus saving the world from destruction -- and their unlikely choice is Bob Alman, an ordinary family man who works on an auto assembly line in Detroit. But before he can save the world, Bob has to handle a more immediate family crisis involving his skeptical wife, Donna, and his rebellious teenage daughter, Megan.

Andy Runs Away

Desperate to impress his skeptical friends, little Andy asks Bob to have God materialize at his school, but when the Big Guy refuses, Bob embarrasses himself when he tries to trick the kiddies, prompting his son to leave home for "Superman's fortress" somewhere in Canada. At the same time, God urges the Devil to become a kinder, gentler Prince of Darkness, and a jealous Megan resents her mother's private study time with a hunky college student.
