The magical stories of A Thousand and One Nights come alive as the beautiful newlywed, Scheherazade (Mili Avital) tries to keep her husband, the powerful and handsome Sultan (Dougray Scott), from executing her. By telling him a different story each night, she is able to put off her execution another day.

All the stories you thought you knew are spun to life: Aladdin (Jason Scott Lee) and the Genie (John Leguizamo); Ali Baba (Rufus Sewell) and the Forty Thieves; and, Black Coda (Tcheky Karyo).

Eventually, these stories not only win her freedom, but the sultan's heart as well. The program will air in two parts, SUNDAY, APRIL 30 (8:00 - 10:00 PM) and MONDAY, MAY 1 (9:00 - 11:00 PM) on the ABC Television Network.
